Plaksha University

The journey of Plaksha University began in 2015 with a discussion among Pranav Gupta and his few friends about the need for reform in technical education. The majority of this group of individuals, who were entrepreneurs and business leaders, were eager to alter the course of technical and engineering education in India. A Section 8 non-profit organization called Re-imagining Higher Education Foundation was established in 2017 with the goal of turning the concept into a strategy.

In 2021, Plaksha University launched as a new, green-field university. Plaksha is situated in Mohali, Punjab near the Chandigarh International Airport, with fifty-acre campus which will be developed over the following seven to eight years. The esteemed Plaksha University seeks to redefine engineering and technical education via research, invention, and instructional design. Through this institution, the founders hope to bridge the gap between technical education and the needs of the real world of industry. Its objectives are to provide students with the information and abilities required for careers that go beyond conventional education.

Plaksha University offers four unique undergraduate degrees in artificial intelligence, economics and data science, bio-systems and cyber-physical systems, and has attracted some of the top academics from all around India and the world. Its flagship programme, the Technology Leaders Program, teaches students how to run organizations and use technology to tackle some of the most complex challenges our planet has to deal with.
